On the 14th April 1962 Maurice Finnigan, Jim & Joyce Sinclair opened their first shop in the thriving retail street of Falsgrave. Early 1980 saw the retirement of Jim & Joyce Sinclair and theappointment of the current directors, Christine, Ian and Nigel to the company.

We accept unwanted and usually second hand goods for sale in the shop from thegeneral public. The item(s) are valued by our shop staff and this valuation is agreed with the seller of the goods. The seller receives a receipt for the items showing the date, description of the goods, selling price and commission charged.

A NEW generation from family-owned Northallerton business, Barkers, will perform the turf cutting ceremony to signal the start of a £3million expansion. William, Hannah and Thomas Barker will performthe formalities to get building work underway on the extension of Barkers Furnishing Store in Yafforth Road, where dad Ian is Store Director, on Monday, April 20.
